Antique Meakin Sol Red and Gold Dinner Plates c.1912+

Antique J. & G. Meakin red and gold filigree ceramic dinner plates set of six. c.1912+

These plates have a 4cm - 1/2 inch approx deep red border overlaid with a delicate floral gold filigree pattern, an inner border in a classical style gold filigree and a central filigree motif.

The plates are 24.5cm - 9 3/4 inches wide approx.

These are well loved plates with some wear to the central motif and the gold gilded rims and some utensil marks.

Made over 100+ years ago by J. & G. Meakin, 'SOL' trade mark, Registration no. 391413 at the Eagle Pottery, Hanley, Staffordshire, England. c.1912+
